Unsteady

  When our steps seem strained, when the path feels difficult...we simply put one foot in front of the other. Often, the destination is uncertain, our energy can be depleted, and our motivation borders on nonexistent. Somewhere, deep down in our soul and heart, we find the strength and courage to just carry on, one day at a time. Life is full of moments that challenge us, test us, force us to reach out and reach in. We ask for God's guidance and strength, and also dig into our own reservoir of untapped fortitude. The line between despair and hope can be razor thin, all depending on how we choose to see a particular situation. One thing that can propel us forward is to remember that we do not travel alone...there is a Divine helper taking our journey of life with us. So, when our legs feel unsteady and the weight of our worries/concerns/fears seem overwhelming, we are permitted to pause and rest. When it is time to continue the trek, help is ever so close, awaiting our invitation......

Puncture

  The place where it feels prickly, uncomfortable, a bit painful...is where the wound healing is being called for lives. It is calling our attention, beckoning our awareness of the internal work that is needed in that area. Unresolved traumas, hurts, disappointments, guilt, etc. linger on, creating unease until we finally muster the courage to acknowledge their presence and say to them, "I see you!". Facing one's hurts and wounds is by no means easy...in fact, it's a daunting and difficult proposition. But, the only way to heal oneself is to shine the light of conscious awareness on the area needing attention. Bringing the deeply shadowed injury into the light and sitting with the hurt...the only path out. No amount of bandaging through denial, substances, or false beliefs can ever replace the light of truthful acceptance. Does it hurt?...yes. Will it be difficult?...probably. Is it a gradual process?...most likely. But, what seems insurmountable at first becomes more...

Spinning

  The conscious mind, constantly turning and filled with a myriad of thoughts. It can feel like an endless cacophony of noise, drowning out our spirit and crushing our peace. To be still, quiet, and at rest...what a gift! But, how do we achieve this state of being? Living in this 3-dimensional existence requires that we use our cognitive functions to survive. But, there is higher wisdom that we can tap into, if only our minds can be quieted and we listen with our intuitive ears. That place where the mind is quiet and the soul can feel at rest is where our cosmic connection can come through. Inspiration, insights, wisdom, and creativity are gifts that we can receive from "out there" when we can get our internal spinning to cease for a while. The transition from doingness to beingness can be challenging, as our mind wants to stay active and in control. But, the state of tranquil stillness is precisely what we should seek often, in order to nourish ourselves and allow intuitive ...
